Ballarat is Western Victoria's largest regional healthcare centre.

Ballarat's two hospitals - Ballarat Health Services and St John of God - and the regions allied healthcare services, continue to work together to plan, prepare, and address future healthcare needs.

Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre

A grant application to establish the centre on the Base Hospital site has been approved by the Australian Government.

It is crucial that vulnerable patients receive timely and appropriate treatment as close to home as possible and the BRICC will enhance treatment opportunities and outcomes.

The centre will also assist in the recruitment of oncologists and clinical staff and include the development of a research trials sector.

Ballarat Health Services Masterplan

The BHS masterplan proposes the high priority development of an Ambulatory Care building to accommodate outpatient clinics, surgical and medical day procedures, future theatre and day procedure unit expansion, diagnostic facilities and support areas.
