The Skilled Migrant category is for highly skilled and educated individuals and their families who wish to work and live in Australia.
The Special Humanitarian category is generally for people outside their country of nationality or usual residence, who have experienced substantial discrimination amounting to gross violation of human rights, and for resettlement is an appropriate solution.
The Refugee category is for those who have fled from their country of nationality or normal residency and who have suffered, or have a well-founded fear of, persecution. This includes the Women at Risk category.
