St John of God Hospital, Ballarat
St John of God Hospital, Ballarat was established in 1915 and is currently the largest private hospital in regional Victoria. It has 196 beds and provides a full range of medical, surgical, maternity, diagnostic, emergency and intensive care services to Ballarat and Victoria's western region.
On site radiotherapy services are provided in conjunction with Ballarat Health Services and the Austin Repatriation Medical Centre. Collaborative arrangements with other regional health care providers are continually pursued to better meet the needs of the community.

Rural Health
St. John of God Group Rural Health Strategy has been finalised and approved. They are committed to ensuring Australia's regional and rural communities, can access the same quality and diversity of healthcare services available in Australia's cities. There are three key areas for action.
Developing viable and sustainable models of service delivery to improve access to private health services in rural communities, particularly to those currently without access.
Strengthening the relationship with the Australian and state governments at a divisional and group level; and
Advocating for and on behalf of rural communities to focus attention and responses to the level of health disadvantage experienced in rural Australia.
