New Resident Functions

Welcome to Ballarat!

As part of the MyChoice initiative, the City of Ballarat invites all newly relocated residents to Ballarat, to attend a "New Residents Function" hosted by the Mayor.

New residents functions are FREE and held four times a year in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

The evening's activities include:

An official welcome by the Mayor.

A presentation on the major services and facilities available in Ballarat - including health, education, community services and property.

Representatives from Ballarat community groups.

The opportunity to meet other new residents to Ballarat.

Children's activities are fully supervised by qualified City of Ballarat Child Care Staff.

Light refreshments, prizes and giveaways.

Events are held at the Ballarat Town Hall (Sturt Street, Ballarat) from 6:00pm - 7:15pm.

The New Resident Functions are held quarterly (February, May, August and November) at the Town Hall and attendance is by registration only.
