The Ballarat Migration Project provides a holistic approach to skilled migration in the Ballarat community. We aim to assist your settlement through improving community awareness on cultural diversity, educating employers on skilled migration and visa options, and through improving training and service provision for migrants and their families.
Please note that the Ballarat Migration Project is not a recruitment agency and does not provide advice individual visas.
Ballarat Migration Office
Migrants are invited to visit the Ballarat Migration Project Office when they arrive in Ballarat. We are located in the Town Hall (Sturt Street, Ballarat). An appointment can be made by phoning 03 5320 5180 or by email: migration@ballarat.vic.gov.au.
All skilled migrants, including those on employer sponsored visas, are encouraged to register with our Office to ensure that you receive access to a wide variety of services and information, and obtain a copy of our Welcome Kit to assist with your settlement into our community.
New Resident Functions

Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council
The Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council will also assist you in those initial few weeks of settlement.

Introduction to the Australian Workplace - Workshops
SIR Visa holders can participate in the new Introduction to the Australian Workplace Workshops, offered by Ballarat Group Training. The course consists of a series of workshops, which provide access to individual tutoring and a work experience placement.
