ICT
Ballarat’s Information and Communication Technologies industry sector directly employs over 630 people which is equivalent to 1.9% of the City’s workforce. This emerging sector has gained considerable momentum and widespread recognition over recent years - through the attraction of major industry players to Ballarat, through the development of cutting-edge technologies, and through the commercialisation of revolutionary ICT infrastructure.
The hub of Ballarat’s ICT industry is located at the University of Ballarat, the Ballarat Technology Park and the Greenhill Enterprise Centre. This collocation arrangement has fostered the development of partnerships between industry and education providers, and has maximised the opportunities offered by research and development, commercial readiness and skills development. Ballarat also plays a key role in the capability of Regional Victoria to ensure a continuous supply of skilled people for high tech business – both now and in the future.
Ballarat Technology Park
