The total number of Building Permits issued/approved is an economic indicator of construction intentions and activity within the City. The total number of Building Permits issued includes those issued by CouncilÂ’s Building Department and those issued by private surveyors/building inspectors. The total value of the proposed construction works is a closely related economic indicator of investment intentions.
