Central Highlands Agribusiness Forum
The City of Ballarat, in partnership with neighbouring municipalities, established the Central Highlands Agribusiness Forum (CHAF) in March 2005; in order to bring together stakeholders from within the agribusiness sector to discuss issues, develop projects and investigate opportunities within the region for business and industry development.
This project is consistent with Blueprint Ballarat's "our jobs and investment" aims to advance cluster concepts and to connect interested, small local businesses.
This collaborative approach offers support to individual businesses through difficult and challenging times; and also provides a measure of security for the long-term viability and sustainability of the agribusiness sector.
Since its inception earlier this year, the Agribusiness Forum has gained considerable momentum and recognition; and has attracted in excess of $100,000 in funding for various iniatives.
